39 Weeks

nap time

SO messy!

Took the day off and we went to brunch and then to the park.

Such a great week!  Lily has been so smiley and happy, but even more than normal.  She is enjoying eating again this week, but is still wanting to feed herself.  She has been eating lots of black beans, yogurt, and tried tomatoes for the first time this week.  Lily usually sits in the bathtub but is now trying to pull herself up when she is done with her bath so we have to watch her pretty close.  She is starting to understand "no" and listens when she wants to.  This week was her last week with her favorite worker at daycare until she moves to a new room in September so we are all sad to see her leave.  I am sure Lily will adjust though as she seems to like most people.  We left her last Monday with our friend, Bri, so we could go out to celebrate our anniversary and she did great.

Nap position at daycare
Brushing her teeth in the morning with mommy
Helping mommy get ready
Getting into everything

Lily is still moving all over and getting into everything. This week has been cloudy and rainy so we are trying to stay busy inside. Lily was so happy when the sun came out that she just squeels when we go outside.  This week Lily is babbling quite a bit and will "sing" with you when you sing her a song.  She is clapping all the time and uses the sign for "all done" when she is finished eating.  She is so well behaved when we take her out to restaurants; she just sits and watches everyone and eats her food.  A couple stopped by our table last night to comment on how well behaved she is.  I think it is her noisiness and people watching that keeps her content when we are out.  She definitely loves to go and loves to be around people.

37 weeks

Lily is on the move and is not interested in sitting still. She is getting more independent and wanting to play on her own. Her favorite nighttime activity is going into her room and throwing books off her shelf. She is eating better and more at once. She prefers vegetables over fruits. She had cheese soup last night and that was pretty exciting. I think we have a Wisconsin girl in the making.

36 Weeks

This week Lily has a new tooth poking through her gums and it is bothering her so everything is going to the mouth.  She had her appointment with the ENT and her ears look good.  They want her to come back in 2 months and said that the ear infections could come back when cold and flu season starts again in the fall, but we are good for now.  Such a relief.  Lily got sick this week on Thursday, but seems to be on an upswing today.  She keeps sharing her germs with daddy and Travis is sick for the 100th time this season.  Lily continues to crawl around and pull to stand on everything she can find.  She is exploring more and more on her own.  She is really enjoying feeding herself and loves to dance.
