Every girl needs a playroom!

first visit to ikea was a success!

Actually enjoying the snow this time.

This week Lily has had so much fun playing!  Reading books on the potty, crawling on the new bed, shopping at ikea, and playing in the snow!  She is saying so many words now that it is hard to keep track of the new ones, but I think she has around 75-100.  She is still working on saying them on her own.  My favorite new word is one!  She will say it while smiling with one finger up.  We went to Ikea last night to shop for her playroom.  We got drapes, an easel, and a little table.  Lily is so excited that she wants to hang out exclusively in that room now!  There is so much space for her now thanks to her daddy building a murphy bed.

Lions and tigers and Grandparents

This week we saw lions and tigers and bears and Grandparents.  I was sick all last week with the flu and Travis got sick with a cold midweek so I was very thankful to have a few visitors to watch Lily for us.  Lily had such a wonderful time her grandparents and I know she was sad to see them go, we certainly were.

Baby flu

Lily spent most of last week sick with what I assume was the flu as I am now sick with it.  I got a call from daycare on Tuesday to go get her and when I got there she looked just awful.  I kept her home the next two days and she started to feel a little better just in time and grandma and grandpa to get here.  She has had so much fun playing with them this weekend and they will do whatever she wants!  There have been lots of puzzles and books in the past few days.  And Grandma and Grandpa bought Lily her new favorite toy, an Elmo phone.  She has been taking it everywhere.  Lily has watched sesame street a total of two times and is already in love with Elmo.

18 Months

Big Girl time

Ready for yoga class!

I finally found a way for Lily to paint where she doesn't get mad; using cars.  She gets mad when her hands are dirty and this keeps the mess mostly on the cars.  New words this week are monkey, stay, and hat.  She learned stay because that is what we tell Addie.  Lily is starting to drink from a big girl cup and we have fully weaned her from the pacifier.  She is ready to be a toddler.  She is also asserting herself more lately; she has one pair of shoes that she insists she wears everyday.  This little girl is convinced she is big now.
