Merry Christmas Eve!

A wonderful night of presents, dancing, yummy treats, and magical stories.  Funny quotes of today:  Travis asked Lily who was winning the Packer game and she responded "the Grinch!"  I told Lily that the good girls and boys would get presents and she said Daddy is naughty.  She has been saying this all week so I guess coal for him.  We got to leave cookies out for santa and I think we are in luck as there are lots more presents under the tree now.  Such a lucky and spoiled little girl!

The Best Day Ever!

Lily's daycare had a pipe that burst and flooded a good portion of the building so they closed for the day and it was the BEST day ever.  Anna came over to play for the day!  We went to the library, went to the grocery store-where Lily got to ride in a car with Anna, and played in the snow.  We built a snowman and Lily and Anna had a snowball fight.  Lily has been checking on her snowman frequently.  We ended the day with Frosty the snowman.  I am pretty sure it was Lily's dream come true.  Mommy kind of had a blast as well.

Ready for Christmas?

Almost time for Christmas and Lily is checking things off her list; santa-check, snow-check, gifts-check, baking-check, wrapping-check.  Lily is getting excited for Christmas.  She told me today that she thinks Santa will bring her movies and books.  I think she may be in luck.  Last night we listened to Christmas music and wrapped a few gifts.  She was so excited!  Travis was not feeling well and went to bed, but Lily insisted on going in to show him each gift she wrapped and tell him who it is for.  I am so thankful that she seems more excited about giving the gifts than asking for them.  I will enjoy that while it lasts.

Grandparents are the best!

Time with Grandma and Grandpa involves sleeping in, yummy food, undivided attention, playing whatever you want, and being just generally spoiled.  I think this is every 2 year old's dream and Lily was not disappointed.   She wanted Grandma to wake her up every morning and put her to bed each night.  And if Grandpa could just stay and play cards and blocks everyday that would pretty much make Lily the happiest girl in the world.  She had a great visit and we can't wait to see Grandma and Grandpa again soon.  Lily's new favorite thing after watching Frosty the Snowman with Grandma and Gtrandpa is to sing "Frosty the Snowman!"  Those are the only words she knows though...yet.
