31 weeks

Lily had an unexpected trip to Wisconsin this week to visit family as her great grandpa passed away on Monday. We are happy to be back and spending time with family but still wish it had been under different circumstances. This week Lily is really getting the hang of squirming her way around in the floor from one place to another. She started by dragging herself with her arms and is now starting to push a little with her legs. She is also starting a not so fun stage of not wanting to be held by people who are not mommy and daddy. This is not good timing for a visit with family.

Family

Today we celebrate the life of Lily's great grandpa. He was taken too soon, but it was clear he lived life to its fullest. I hope to share with Lily his passion for life, his love for his family, and the generosity he shared with everyone. She was so fortunate to have met him.

7 Months

For Lily's seven month birthday we went for a family hike in Evergreen.  Lily got to ride in her new backpack while daddy carried her.  She had so much fun watching everything around her that she fell asleep on the last part of the hike.  We then had our friends over and Lily got to play with her friend Anna outside.  She was one tired girl when bedtime came!

30 weeks

This week Lily stayed busy with swim lessons and walks in her new stroller. She went to the grocery store with me and say in the cart for the first time. She is still a little small for this but she was interested in everything!  She learned to pull herself across the floor and is making a little new progress with this each day. She is fine with this but really prefers to stand. She will sit and pull herself up with your hands all night long.  She is now waving in response to others waving at her. She has been a great eater this week demanding for us to feed her faster. I was lucky this week and got to go feed her at daycare a couple days and see her play with her friends. It is getting harder to leave.
