I'm a big girl!

Lily is very into hearing about when she was a baby and talking about being in mommy's belly when she was a tiny little baby.  She likes to tell me that she is a big girl now and not a baby anymore.  She is definitely a big girl!  Right now she tells me she wants to be a doctor when she grows up and she likes to give us check-ups on a regular basis.  She will tell you her favorite colors are yellow, pink, and purple.  Her favorite shows are Doc McStuffins and Trolls.  And she just started her first sports and soccer classes.  She wasn't crazy about her new male coaches the first time, but she is coming around.  Since her soccer class yesterday she has asked each night to go outside and play soccer.  I am proud of our opinionated and sweet girl!

These are a few of my favorite things...

Yoga, hiking, grilled cheese, and visiting animals.  It was a great week for Lily and she got to enjoy all of her favorite things.  She also got to watch Lion King and the Troll movie so her life is complete.

I do what I want!

Most all listening has gone out the window in the past couple weeks and Lily has decided she will do what she wants.  We fight her on this, but sometimes it is just best to let her wear the rain boots or the turtle hat  and save the fight for it's time to use the potty or it's time for bed.  We officially have a two and a half year old who does what she wants.  Some quotes from the past weeks:
"I don't like the Bergens, the bergens eat me."  (the bergens are in the troll movie and eat the trolls)
Me: You are a mast manipulator.  Lily: No, I Lily.
"Mommy, you find my pink plate!"  (yes the one in the cabinet at all times, I am magical and know just where to find it)
Watching a garbage truck: "They dump the trash in and then they go away!"
And today, we were in Lily's room getting ready for her nap and Lily insisted that I go with her to the living room to find her troll book.  I told her to go get it and it was on the couch.  She returns with no book just to tell me that the book was not on the couch and is on the ground!  Well, isn't that helpful!
