47 weeks

view from the ENT

Only 5 weeks until Lily turns one. She is getting to be such a big girl. She is frustrated with crawling but won't walk on her own yet. This week Lily went to th ENT and is ear infection free for now, no tubes!  It was great news. Her favorite things this week are dancing, shoes, and cheese. Sunday night we had a dance party and then she handed each of us her shoes 50 times. It was the best. :)

we have to stop at the playground to play too.

I think that Lily gets more and more fun every week.  This week she is on the move and working on getting the nerve to walk.  She takes a few steps every night, but falls quickly.  We went appliance shopping earlier in the week, which Lily thought was very boring.  She met her friends for a fun time at the Botanic Gardens then on Sunday she helped mommy with some gardening.  She mostly sat and played, but toward the end she felt the need to come help.  Our neighbor came over to see Lily and comment on how well behaved she was while I gardened.  She is the sweetest.  Play time is so fun now as Lily will play games like peekaboo and throw a ball back and forth.  She learned how to stack blocks this week and stacked three high.  She is always watching and learning so many new things!

45 weeks

Lily had a big week.  She took her first real steps on Monday night, two to be exact.  She has taken about two steps most nights this week but then she will be too afraid to go any further.  Her eight tooth just broke through so she continues to put everything in her mouth as normal.  Right now she loves so many things but the highlights of this week seem to be swinging, reading, and going for walks.

44 weeks

Some of my favorite times of day; going into Lily's room in the morning when she is standing in her crib reaching for me, brushing our teeth together, getting her from daycare and watching her wave bye, getting snuggles before bed.  I am going to miss these moments when they pass, but I will soak them all in while I can.  Lily is getting so independent.  This week she started to get to a standing position without holding onto anything.  She will stand for a little while but does not yet have the courage for any steps.  She had an amazing week!
