Fearless

born to shop
swinging with her buddy, Anna

Got this picture from daycare.  They are trying to give Lily a spoon
to help her learn to eat with it...I think they will keep trying.

"Daddy, let me read to you."

Lily isn't lacking in confidence.  Since she started walking she wants to go everywhere and do everything herself.  She climbs the platforms at the playground and even walks to the slide to try to go down herself.  We have to watch her pretty close as I am sure she would go down all on her own.  She likes to find things to use as chairs.  Today she turned over a little toy bin and carried it around the house to sit on wherever she wanted.  She is such a goof and doing new and fun things all the time.  We will just try to keep up!

Busy Girl

Last night we were trying to get Lily to sign "please" which is rubbing your chest. She watched us do the sign a couple times, walks over to me and rubs my chest. We both laughed hysterically so she did it to daddy and then again to me. This morning I asked Lily what a dog says and she made her high pitched "bark" noise she uses when she hears a dog bark. She is doing so many new things all the time. She had such a fun night last night as she got to spend the evening with her old teacher from daycare, Miss Valerie, and her friend, Anna. Valerie baby sat while mommy and daddy went out to dinner. It was the first time I have left her with someone and she didn't cry. I think we will need to call Miss Valerie to babysit again soon!

Little monster

playing at our neighborhood playground.
We go for a walk to the playground every night.

Broncos day at daycare

I used to call Lily peanut and my new name for her this week is monster.  She is absolutely insane since she started walking.  She used to stack her blocks and wait for us to clap, now she will only knock them over or throw them.  We took her to the park this week, as we do every week, and she started climbing on everything and is just walking up the slide.  I see lots of destruction in our future.  I have to say that even though it sounds like I am complaining this may be the best stage ever!  She is so fun!!  I can't wait to see more personality coming through.
