Family Vacation
We had our first real family trip over the holiday weekend. We went to the sand dunes in southwest Colorado and had a wonderful time. We stayed at a tiny cottage on an organic, solar ranch. They had ponies, chickens, goats, dogs, and a turkey. Lily was obsessed with the ponies, but only wanted to watch them and was not interested in touching or riding them. She had to say hi to the ponies a few times each day and always wanted to say goodbye to them before we left. The cottage was the perfect size, particularly the shower, where we set up the pack 'n play. Lily had fun at the sand dunes. We hiked to the top of the dunes and then had a picnic on the beach by the creek. Lots of kids were playing in the sand and the water, but Lily had no interest. She just wanted to sit on her blanket and watch. Lily was a trooper with the drive and unfamiliar places so I think she is ready for her upcoming Wisconsin trips.

Hiking and shopping
Some fun things this week; Lily loves to look for bunnies and gets so excited when we see them in the yard or when we are out for a walk. It isn't too hard to find them in our neighborhood. She then says "nunny, hop hop!" Lily had fun on our hike over the weekend and anytime she started to get bored we had to sing songs. She loves twinkle twinkle little star and the wheels on the bus. She just started saying "uh oh, spaghetti oh!" She must have learned it at daycare, it is so cute. She is obsessed with her Colorado shirt because her friend Kaya has one and daddy has one too! In the morning Lily wakes up and tells me what is going on in the house, "Daddy shower" and "Coffee." She is so funny!
