I want to watch bear.

A perfect weekend involves going to see animals and running in a field with your bff.  Lily had a perfect weekend.  Tonight, I turned on the presidential debate and I told Lily that these people want to be president.  I asked Lily if she wants to be president.  She said, "no, I want to watch bear."  The girl really knows how things should work.  Lily is also very into us kissing her owies.  Tonight, she bit the inside of her mouth during dinner so she wanted a kiss.  I walked over and she opened her mouth full of food for me to kiss in her mouth.  This is where I draw the line.

Little mommy

Taking care of her babies and being the boss, these are some of Lily's favorite things. This weekend Lily and I slept in and Addie started barking at something. I got up to go yell at Addie and I hear from Lily's room, "Addie, no barking."  She said it a few times and then was quiet until yelling mommy after a few minutes of silence. I just thought it was so great that out of a dead sleep she was ready to boss someone around. Later in the weekend she was being very loud reading a book so I asked what she was doing and she told me she was reading a book to her baby. She then patted baby on the back (baby was on the floor covered with a blanket) so baby would go to sleep. A true little mommy.

I'm 2

I need a hug

The other night Lily was sad and said, "I need a hug."  I tried to snuggle that girl for ten minutes.  She was alright with it for awhile and then moved on to report that "I got buggers."  Always news to report with a 2 year old.  Lily is also very excited to report that she is two.  I usually hear "Lily is 2" about once a day.  This past weekend we went camping and it was a fun little adventure.  Lily really embraced playing in dirt, hiking, and sleeping in the tent.  Her favorite is always sleeping in the tent.  She wanted to go in the tent to sleep while we were sitting by the fire so I told her she could go read books while we sat by the fire.  She liked this plan so she went in the tent and every few minutes she just yelled "mommy, daddy" and we had to go say hello.  There goes my relaxing in front of the fire.  Lily also started in her new room at daycare and is doing great.  She is with her bff, Anna, so she is very happy!
