Bye, Bye Alligator!

Lily is really into closing doors and telling us goodbye right now and her favorite thing to say is bye, bye alligator.  Travis tried to correct her, but I want her to keep saying it.  ;)  Lily has been a busy girl learning to use the potty.  She is doing a great job and the only issue is that she doesn't seem to want to poop in the potty.  No accidents otherwise, even in public!  Lily had an exciting adventure last weekend.  We went on the lightrail to go downtown to participate in the Woman's March.  Lily told everyone that she rode the train and went downtown and that she saw a bear (the big blue bear).  She doesn't seem to be as impressed with the march.  I told her it was a parade about being nice to people and we talked about what to do when someone is mean.  She says that you say, "no, I don't like that."

Jump!

The girl loves to jump!  She jumps off the curb, jumps off her dresser into my arms, jumps into the pool, and got to have fun at a birthday party jumping on trampolines.  It was pretty much her dream.  She got to jump and then she got to eat pizza and a cupcake.  She sat at the table with one other child after all the other kids had finished eating because she was not leaving any of that food on her plate.

Happy 2017

Lily got to ring in the new year in the mountains and we took her sledding.  She wasn't much into new year's eve, but still had a fun time.  She has been welcoming the new year by continuing to be an insane and fun 2 year old.  Some things she enjoys saying recently are, "I'm a dirty little pigeon."  She has been reading the Pigeon takes a Bath lately and just thinks that it is hilarious!  We also continue to tackle potty training and Lily has Elmo underwear.  When I put the on lately she likes to tell us, "I'm gonna pee on Elmo."  Well take that attempts at potty training!  She also likes to keep us on our toes with fun answers to questions.  The other night Travis asked Lily what she wants to be when she grows up and she responded "a princess."  And Travis knew he had failed as a father.  We are going to work on some other answers.  :)
