Lily had her first swimming lessons this week.

28 weeks

Another exciting week for Lily.  This week Lily starting saying mama (3/8).  She figured out how to say it and now says it all the time.  We are still working on other sounds like dada.  :)  She had her first swimming lessons and did such a great job.  She really loves the water!  She went under water 5 times and didn't cry once, but her eyes bug out of her head when she gets out.  She is also starting to figure out how she is going to get to start this whole crawling thing.  Last night she got herself in position a couple times and once even crawled a step before she fell.  She got herself from sitting to tummy and back to sitting which was another first.  She is still enjoying eating and tried peas and zucchini this week.  Lily is also really enjoying hanging out with Addie this week.  She loves to share her toys, to get kisses from Addie, and to "chase" Addie which involves us holding her and going to find where Addie is.  This girl loves her pup!

27 weeks

27 weeks

Lily had her six month check up this week and got lots of fun shots. We found out she still has a double ear infection so she is on her third round of antibiotics. No good news there. This week Lily started eating food which has been very exciting. We started with cereal and just moved on to peas. She is very into eating; opening her mouth for the spoon and grabbing for the spoon to get it to her mouth. The other thing she started doing is holding onto our hands to pull herself to standing.  She isn't pulling up independently yet, but she is very excited about this new fun activity.  

26 weeks

Halfway to a year. It has all gone so fast. It still feels a little surreal. I really didn't know this amount of happiness was possible until I met my sweet girl. Mommy loves you!  This week was a busy on with grandma and grandpa in town. We went shopping, out to eat, and hung out at their hotel. The most exciting thing was taking Lily swimming for the first time. She was seemed mostly indifferent to swimming but she did manage to have some fun splashing and zooming around the pool. Lily also stayed with grandma and grandpa while mommy and daddy had a couple nights away in the mountains.  Lily did great and we enjoyed our time, but I was ready to get back.  Today we realized she got her second tooth which is just barely poking through.  So much activity for this little girl!
