26 weeks

Halfway to a year. It has all gone so fast. It still feels a little surreal. I really didn't know this amount of happiness was possible until I met my sweet girl. Mommy loves you!  This week was a busy on with grandma and grandpa in town. We went shopping, out to eat, and hung out at their hotel. The most exciting thing was taking Lily swimming for the first time. She was seemed mostly indifferent to swimming but she did manage to have some fun splashing and zooming around the pool. Lily also stayed with grandma and grandpa while mommy and daddy had a couple nights away in the mountains.  Lily did great and we enjoyed our time, but I was ready to get back.  Today we realized she got her second tooth which is just barely poking through.  So much activity for this little girl!

6 months

It has been a big month for Lily.  She got her first tooth and today we realized she got her second one as well.  She went swimming for the first time and had to much fun.  She moved from her baby bath to a big girl bath where she is able to sit up.  She also stayed her first two nights without mommy and daddy and did great.  She is growing so fast!  I think she get more beautiful and more fun each day and I can't wait for the months to come!

Lily loves her new bath!

This week I am noticing more and more the new funny things Lily is doing. They have been developing over the last month and are becoming part of her everyday personality. She has this excited laugh that Travis and I have decided is her dog panting noise. Often while panting like a dog she will also flail her arms up and down. It is quite the entertaining sight. Her other favorite thing to do is scream!  She loves to scream in delight when playing, when listening to music, or just when you smile at her. I don't know how we got so lucky to have such a sweet natured, happy, easy going, fun baby but she reminds me daily how amazing she is. Travis and I sometimes fight to pick her up from daycare at the end of the day because she is always so excited to see you. There is nothing better in the entire world. Love you, peanut!

24 Weeks

first tooth!  2/10/15

Valentine from daycare!

24 weeks

The big news this week is that Lily got her first tooth!  I just happened to put my finger in her mouth which I don't do as much as when she was first born and I felt it.  She seems to only want to play with teething type toys right now so the tooth is still cutting through.  Lily had a nice weekend with her Grandma and Grandpa Krings visiting.  Travis and I got to go for a night out, run errands, and even went to the gym at the same time!  Definitely makes me wish that we had family a little closer.  The other big news is that Lily is liking to take baths like a big girl this week.  We got her a little tub that she can sit up in and she had so much fun splashing and playing.  We just signed her up for swimming lessons for March because I think she is going to love the water.  Lily had a nice Valentine's day at daycare.  She got gifts from a couple of her teachers and they made a Valentine for Mom and Dad.  I love her daycare staff!  Happy Valentine's Day!
